The Law Enforcement Academy, as part of the work of the Regional Hub for Combating Global Threats, conducted a training on combating human trafficking, “The role of information and communication technologies in promoting various forms of human trafficking” on April 18-19, 2019, in Atyrau city.
This training is the second in a series of on-site training events and is designed to train law enforcement officials to recognize new forms and methods of human trafficking in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by 20 employees of the prosecutor’s office and police of Atyrau region.
The trainers were the associate professor of the Department of International Studies of the Academy, Ph.D. Seitaeva J., acting First Deputy Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after B. Beisenov, Ph.D. J. Kenbaev and director of the Rodnik Foundation, director of the shelter for victims of human trafficking in Almaty, N. Balabaeva
The participants discussed the problems of evidence in the investigation of criminal cases related to human trafficking, issues of identification of victims of human trafficking, examples and cases of manifestations of various forms of human trafficking using information and communication technologies.
