On April 7, 2026, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by a delegation of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation headed by Rector Igor Matskevich.
The guests got acquainted with the activities of the Academy, noting the high level of its educational, scientific and international potential, as well as the modern training system for law enforcement agencies.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing its sustainable nature and the importance of joint projects, including research in the field of crime prevention, digitalization of law enforcement and the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies.
Rector of the Academy Nurgalym Abdirov outlined the key areas of further cooperation, focusing on deepening scientific cooperation, forming expert working groups and developing practice-oriented research in the face of modern challenges.
Igor Matskevich expressed appreciation for the high level of organization of the visit and the informative nature of the dialogue, presented the priority areas of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation and supported the proposed cooperation initiatives.
Within the framework of the visit, guest lectures were organized on topical issues of law enforcement practice, such as countering modern threats, investigating certain categories of crimes and forming an evidence base.
Colleagues from Russia were presented with the Academy’s modern infrastructure and its educational and practical potential, based on the introduction of innovative educational technologies and practice-oriented approaches to personnel training.
In the courtroom, students demonstrated a model of a trial involving jurors, reflecting real procedural procedures. The guests also got acquainted with the activities of the cyber center, the prosecutor’s office and the forensic training grounds, where interactive and simulation training formats are implemented. These solutions make it possible to form stable professional competencies and practice skills in conditions as close as possible to real law enforcement practice.
Following the visit, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation, including the development of new forms of interaction and the implementation of joint educational and scientific initiatives.
