Meeting of the Academy with the GIZ Delegation and Experts from the University of Applied Sciences of Hesse

On November 25, 2025, the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with the delegation of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and experts from the University of Applied Sciences of Hesse.

In his opening remarks, Rector Nurgalym Abdirov emphasized the importance of international partnership in the field of extremism prevention and the training of law enforcement personnel. He noted: “Germany’s experience in preventive security and critical thinking represents a valuable resource for our system in the context of growing hybrid and digital threats.”

During the meeting, participants discussed practices of early detection of radicalization signs, the development of analytical approaches, and strengthening the research component in specialist training. On the German side, the meeting was attended by GIZ Project Leader Stefan Buchmaier and Police Chief, Head of the Campus of the University of Applied Sciences of Hesse Matthias Mai. The experts expressed their readiness to expand cooperation through joint trainings, scientific initiatives, and exchange of experience.

As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their commitment to developing long-term cooperation aimed at introducing international standards of extremism prevention and enhancing the effectiveness of personnel training in the law enforcement system.
