At the Law Enforcement Academy, a scientific-methodological seminar «Research Design» was held, aimed at enhancing the methodological culture of faculty members, master’s students, and doctoral candidates.
The invited speaker — Doctor of Law, Professor of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Zhamalladin Ibragimov — presented the fundamental principles of constructing a research design, emphasizing the importance of correctly formulating a scientific problem, setting goals and objectives, and selecting appropriate research methods. He particularly highlighted the role of a well-structured design in ensuring the novelty and practical value of dissertations.
Doctoral student Bagram Bayseitov presented the results of his research in the field of criminal law, dedicated to countering the embezzlement of budgetary funds. His presentation generated great interest among participants. Master’s student Dinara Kalykova shared the difficulties faced by young researchers in preparing master’s theses, stressing the importance of methodological support from academic supervisors.
The seminar helped participants deepen their understanding of the structure of scientific research, exchange practical recommendations, and strengthen unified methodological approaches to dissertation preparation.
