The second national simulation training on combating human trafficking has started in Almaty.
The training is provided to employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, the police, migration and social services, labor inspections and representatives of NGOs.
During the week, the participants of the training will have to work out the skills of responding to signals about slavery in the most realistic conditions, within the framework of the training scenario, search for and identify victims of human trafficking, provide them with the necessary assistance, conduct operational investigative measures, collect evidence and prepare procedural documents.
An important feature of the training is the possibility of working out schemes of interaction between all involved government agencies and the non-governmental sector.
The problem of human trafficking is becoming more acute every year.
The President of our country has repeatedly pointed out the unacceptability and absolute incompatibility of human trafficking with the fundamental values of our state, noting that this is not only a criminal offense, but also an insult to human dignity, and, consequently, a violation of fundamental human rights.
The simulation exercise was organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies at the Prosecutor General’s Office together with the Almaty and Karaganda Academies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
