The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies hosted an international scientific seminar for undergraduates and doctoral students

On April 23, 2026, an international scientific seminar on “Criminal procedure as a form of legal knowledge” was held online at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies at the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was aimed at developing the research competencies of undergraduates, doctoral students and postgraduates. It was attended by young researchers and representatives of the scientific community of Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. The moderator was Vitaly Khan, Professor of the Department of Special Legal Disciplines.

During the seminar, topical issues of the criminal process were discussed, including problems of evidence, international standards of habeas corpus, the specifics of juvenile cases, pre-trial investigation of corruption crimes, as well as issues of probation supervision and improvement of inquiry.

The presentations were accompanied by a scientific discussion and an exchange of opinions. The importance of such events for the development of research culture, international cooperation and improving the quality of legal training was noted.
