The transformation of legal scholarship was the key theme of an international conference at the Academy

On 10 April 2026, the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the 9th International Scientific and Practical Conference «The Transformation of Legal Science: The Perspective of Young Scholars», timed to coincide with Science Day and held as part of the Year of Improving Departmental Education.

The event brought together representatives of state bodies, the academic community and educational organisations from Kazakhstan and other countries.

The plenary and panel sessions focused on the digitalisation of legal science, the implementation of artificial intelligence, the modernisation of the prosecution service and the prevention of offences. Research on current trends in law enforcement practice was presented.

The proceedings continued with breakout sessions, which included a competition for academic papers with awards presented to the best participants.

The outcomes of the conference confirmed the importance of academic dialogue and the strengthening of international cooperation, as well as the Academy’s status as a leading academic and educational centre.
