Meeting of the Law Enforcement Academy with the Ambassador of Spain and EU-ACT Project Representatives

On December 1, 2025, at the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Luis Francisco Martínez Montes, representatives of the European Union, and the EU-ACT project team.

Rector Nurgalym Abdirov presented the key areas of the Academy’s activities, highlighting its role as a Regional Hub for countering global threats and as a training center for specialists from Central Asian countries.

Special attention was given to cooperation with Spain. EU-ACT experts train Kazakhstani law enforcement officers in OSINT methods, digital forensics, and monitoring terrorist activity, which significantly enhances staff qualifications and strengthens regional security.

The parties discussed the growth of cyber threats, online radicalization, and the activities of transnational terrorist networks, emphasizing the importance of joint analytical and educational work.

As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to expand the partnership in developing scientific research, digital competencies, and practice-oriented training for law enforcement personnel.
