Strengthening Partnership with UNODC: New Horizons of Cooperation

On October 30, 2025, the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with Madina Sariyeva, Head of the Programme Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation and the outcomes of their long-standing partnership. Rector Nurgalym Abdirov emphasized that collaboration with UNODC is built on shared goals — strengthening the rule of law, combating transnational crime, and integrating digital solutions into personnel training.

The discussion also covered prospects for joint research, the development of training courses, and the advancement of innovative learning formats, including topics such as cybersecurity, digital forensics, and the use of artificial intelligence in investigations.

As a result of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the partnership and implementing new initiatives aimed at promoting the rule of law and enhancing the professional competence of law enforcement personnel.
