Serving the Republic – A Priority in the Professional Development of Law Enforcement Officers

On the eve of Republic Day, the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office hosted a roundtable discussion titled «Serving the Republic: Socio-Humanitarian Guidelines for Developing Professional Competencies of Law Enforcement Officers».  The event was organized by the Institute of Postgraduate Education and focused on reflecting the ideas outlined in President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Address.

The discussion brought together faculty members, master’s and doctoral students of the Academy, as well as representatives from the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the B. Beisenov Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the M. Gabdullin Academy of Civil Protection. Participants explored humanistic values and patriotism as the foundation of professional identity, the role of moral and spiritual education and public speaking, and the prospects for digitalizing education.

It was emphasized that serving the Republic is a key moral compass that determines the effectiveness of law enforcement activities and the level of public trust in state institutions. The Academy will continue to hold scientific and practical events aimed at developing human resources and strengthening the values of service to society and the state.
