On July 10, 2025, a literary gathering was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan to honor the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and educator Abai Kunanbayev. The event was attended by the Academy’s staff and students.
The special guest was Almakhan Mukhametkalikyzy, a renowned Abai scholar, founder of the “Abai Studies” scientific and educational center, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, and a recipient of the “Best Poet of the Republic of Kazakhstan” award. In an atmosphere of spiritual uplift and literary inspiration, attendees read Abai’s poems and discussed their philosophical depth and artistic value.
In her speech, Almakhan Mukhametkalikyzy emphasized the significance of Abai’s legacy in nurturing the spiritual and moral compass of society. She highlighted the importance of preserving cultural memory and introducing the youth to great Kazakh poetry.
The Academy expressed its gratitude to all participants for their interest and engagement, and it looks forward to future collaborations in promoting literary culture and the aesthetic education of young people.
