On June 21, 2022, an international forum dedicated to parallel financial investigations and the fight against the legalization of criminal proceeds begins in Almaty.
Among the participants: representatives of fiscal investigation bodies, financial intelligence units and prosecutors, scientists and experts from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Within three days, it is planned to discuss such issues as the specifics and forms of implementing parallel financial investigations, the possibilities of financial intelligence, the search for foreign assets based on open and closed sources, investigative and judicial practice and prosecutor’s supervision in cases of this category, countering the withdrawal and return of capital, instruments of international cooperation and the possibilities of informal networks.
Organizers: The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies (as the CIS Base Organization for Training Financial Investigation Officers), the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the US Embassy and the OSCE Program Office in Kazakhstan.
