THE NEXT NATIONAL SIMULATION TRAINING ON COUNTERING DRUG CRIME HAS STARTED

The third national simulation training on countering drug crime has started its work at the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies.

The event was organized with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

Employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, the police, the Economic Investigation Service, national security and international organizations improve their qualifications.

The format of the simulation training involves the creation of conditions and situations as close to real as possible.

One of the main tasks of the training is to develop methods of interaction within the framework of interdepartmental investigative and operational groups to identify channels and schemes for financing drug crime.

According to experts, the unfavorable epidemic situation in the world has led to the activation of local clandestine laboratories for the manufacture of synthetic narcotic drugs, including in Kazakhstan. In addition, the work on detecting drug crimes is complicated by unhindered access to anonymous money transfers, coordination of the actions of criminals through social networks.

The event will last until November 19.
