A three-day training on the topic “Conflict with poachers: legal and psychological aspects” has ended in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The event was organized by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan.
The conflict situations and clashes with poachers that take place in Kazakhstan require appropriate legal, physical and psychological training from law enforcement and environmental protection agencies.
With this in mind, the training was conducted in a non-standard format.
Conventionally, the event consisted of 4 main blocks.
This is the solution of practical cases on the legal basis of the use of coercive force (necessary defense, exceeding the limits of necessary defense, extreme necessity), a simulation exercise on crisis management(conflictology, negotiation processes), a psychological block, as well as training in special self-defense skills.
The coaches were experienced law enforcement practitioners, scientific experts, highly qualified mediators and psychologists, an international category judge, a master of sports in judo and self-defense.
Environmental prosecutors, police officers and game wardens were trained.
Based on the results of the training, it is planned to publish a pocket guide with an algorithm of actions in critical situations for the above categories of employees.
