The Interdepartmental Research Institute of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies organized a round table “Investigation of criminal offenses on the Internet: problems and solutions” in an online format.
Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Financial Monitoring Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Center for Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice, experts of IT technologies, domestic and foreign scientists, including representatives of scientific and educational organizations (the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and its Nizhny Novgorod branch, the Omsk Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation) took part in the discussion of the agenda.
During the scientific discussions, an active and interested exchange of views took place on the investigation of criminal offenses on the Internet, ensuring information security, improving criminal policy in the field of high technologies.
The problematic issues of improving the regulatory and legal regulation and law enforcement practice for the investigation of criminal offenses, expert activities were discussed. New approaches to countering cybercrime are proposed.
The need to improve legislation and law enforcement practice, increase the efficiency of investigating crimes on the Internet was noted.
As a result of the forum, practical recommendations were developed to solve the problems raised, and further expansion of cooperation in the scientific field was proposed.
