On December 3 of this year, a regular meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies was held.
The Council was attended by members of Parliament, representatives of the central offices of law enforcement agencies, departmental universities of the Ministries of Defense and Internal Affairs, as well as scientists and public figures.
The meeting discussed the results of interdepartmental research work, as well as approved research topics for 2021.
In the past year, the topics of scientific works were related to the issues of increasing the level of public confidence in law enforcement agencies, protecting the rights of citizens in criminal proceedings, reducing the number of tortures in places of deprivation of liberty and the level of drug use in our country.
Analyzing the results of the work carried out, the members of the SMC noted the actuality and relevance of scientific research in law-making and law enforcement activities, their compliance with the strategic and program documents of the country.
Recognizing the scientific research of the year as completed, the Council set new vectors for this work for 2021.
In total, the Council’s Secretariat received more than 120 topics from the Anti-Corruption Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the CFM, the Prosecutor General’s Office and territorial divisions.
During the Board’s discussion on the estimation of their relevance, originality and relevance. According to the results of the discussion, next year the efforts of scientists will be aimed at developing recommendations on the 7 most pressing issues of law enforcement.
The meeting also discussed changes and additions to the Regulations on the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Academy and its personnel.
By order of the Rector of the Academy in the composition of NMS include new members — the chief of staff of the interior Ministry of Kazakhstan Igor lepekha, and Provost of the University KazGLU them M.Narikbaev, candidate of legal Sciences Sergey Pen.
