The Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies held a round table on the protection of the rights of minors.
The event was implemented as part of the implementation of the President’s Address “Kazakhstan in a new reality: Time for action” and initiated by the Council of Young Scientists of the Academy.
The round table was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Department of Education of Nur-Sultan, other interested state bodies, as well as representatives of the scientific community.
The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of the legal status of minors, mechanisms for protecting and respecting their legitimate interests and rights, and attracting public attention to the problems of children and adolescents.
The issues of mental health of children returning from the war zones of Syria and Iraq were discussed.
In the context of the development of juvenile justice, the features of the execution of sentences against minors, current aspects of the prevention and prevention of juvenile delinquency are considered.
As a result of the forum, legislative and practical recommendations were developed to improve the level of protection of children’s rights.
