The law enforcement Academy, in cooperation with the Supreme court, the Ministries of internal Affairs, Labour and social protection of population of the Karaganda Academy MIA RK, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Nur-Sultan organized a series of webinars on the topic “Human trafficking in Kazakhstan: the difficulty of identifying, investigating and dealing with court cases related to labor exploitation”.
The training activities covered the capital, Akmola, Almaty and Turkestan regions, as well as the cities of Almaty and Shymkent.
A total of nine webinars will be held throughout the country by the end of the year.
The trainings involve judges, prosecutors, police officers and labor inspectors.
The recommendations developed as a result of the online seminars will be submitted to the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Human Trafficking under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
